Hi, my name is Sarah, I'm a fully qualified counsellor and an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Accreditation means I’ve met the BACP's rigorous standards for training, private practice and ethical responsibility, ensuring a safe, professional and effective therapeutic space for my clients.

With over seven years’ experience, I’ve supported adults and young people (aged 18+) through a wide range of life challenges. I am down to earth, approachable, and authentic, providing a safe, supportive environment where you will be truly listened to and heard. Together, we’ll explore the roots of your emotional difficulties, build resilience, and create positive, lasting change.

I work in an integrative way, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused work, short-term Solution- Focused Approaches, and Life Coaching. My aim is always to tailor our work together in a way that best supports you.

I hold additional qualifications in online counselling and offer sessions via secure video link (Zoom) to clients across the UK.

I’ve been in private practice since 2020. Before that, I spent several years working with charities supporting adults living with the lasting effects of childhood emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. This work has given me deep insight into how early trauma can shape our sense of self, impact relationships, and affect overall wellbeing. While we cannot change the past, I believe it doesn't have to define who we are or limit what is possible in the future.

Confidentiality and trust are central to my work. I am fully compliant with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, giving you peace of mind about your privacy and safety.

About Me

I am a recognised provider for AXA Health and VitalityHealth for counselling and psychotherapy. Some sessions may be covered by your health insurance so please check with your insurer before committing to sessions.

You are welcome to book an introductory session with me first, where we can meet and discuss how insurance-covered sessions work.

For clients using insurance:

  • Please contact your insurer to pre-authorise your sessions and confirm how many are covered.

  • You will need to provide your policy number and claim/authorisation number before starting sessions.

  • I will submit invoices electronically on your behalf, so don't need to submit claims yourself

  • Occasionally, your insurer may not cover the full cost of a session, or there may be an excess. In these cases, you are responsible for paying the difference.
